LOW TEMPERATURE HIGH CONDUCTIVITY SILVER GLUE

Product Manual :
TM-9000 is a single-liquid thermosetting conductive silver adhesive that uses ferrite (Ferrite, Mn-Zn, Ni-Zn) inductor products for internal and external electrode applications and uses a special binder as a substrate. It is characterized by a short curing cycle, which can increase output and reduce production costs. The curing temperature can be adjusted from 140 ℃ to 850 ℃ according to requirements. After curing, it has high conductivity, good adhesion to the product body, and good product reliability. This product can also be applied to the internal and external terminal electrodes of various substrate products, such as MLCC, NTC, Multilayer Varistor and other products.

Product Instructions:

  • Premix: Remove the silver gel from the refrigerator before use, thaw at room temperature for 1 hour, and then mix evenly.
  • Viscosity adjustment: Ethyl Carbitol Acetate solvent is used to adjust the silver glue to the required viscosity, which can be adjusted by the customer.
  • Usage: Dipping, Dispensing and Screen Printing.
  • Drying and curing: Drying: 100 ° C x 5 min./Curing: 140 ° C to 900 ° C x 20 min. The client can adjust the curing temperature and time as required.
  • Storage environment and Shelf Life: 6 months, below 10 ℃
  • Operating time (Pot Life): 10 days @ 40 ℃, operating time (Pot Life) is the time required for the silver glue viscosity to increase by 100% compared to the original viscosity.

Points to note when using:

  • TM-9000 is a flammable liquid, please avoid high temperature, flame and sparks when using.
  • Keep air circulation in the workplace to avoid inhaling too much solvent vapor.
  • Be careful not to touch the skin. If you accidentally touch it, immediately wipe it off with ethanol; then wash it off with soap.
  • When the silver plastic bottle cap is not in use, it needs to be tightly closed to avoid solvent evaporation.
  • TM-9000 must be stored in the refrigerator, and must be thawed at room temperature before opening the bottle cap to avoid condensation.

Packing:

  • Container: PP container
  • Net weight: 1Kg or 2Kg

Testing Method:

  • Viscosity: Brookfield HBT-DVⅡ SC4-14 Connect the correct device of SC4-14 Spindle to the viscometer, and make sure to connect the water bath at 25 ± 0.5 ℃. Spindle at 10 rpm for 5 min.
  • Thixotropic Index: Test the viscosity at 10rpm and 100rpm for 1min., And calculate according to the following formula: Thixotropic Index = Viscosity at 10rpm / Viscosity at 100rpm.
  • Volume Resistivity: On a smooth glass surface, apply a TM-9000 with a length of L cm and a cross-sectional area of A cm2. According to the recommended curing conditions, put it in an oven to harden it. Measure its cross-sectional area (thickness t × width w), and the resistance R in the longitudinal direction, calculated according to the following formula: volume resistivity (Ω-cm) = resistance R (Ω) × cross-sectional area (cm2) / length L ( cm)
  • intensity:
Test the adhesive strength of TM-9000 silver adhesive on the substrate, apply TM-9000 silver adhesive on a 3cm × 4cm aluminum substrate, and put it into the oven for curing according to the recommended curing conditions. On the hardened TM-9000 silver glue, draw a total of 100 small squares of 1mm × 1mm with a blade, and test with 3M tape600 hundred test tape.

Step1: After holding the test tape on one end of the hand, fix it directly, pull it directly on the surface to be tested, and apply pressure on the tape with your fingers to remove air bubbles.
Step 2: Tear off one end of the tape so that it can be gripped with your fingers, and then quickly remove the tape at an angle of about 90 °. (The time from attaching to tearing off the tape must be less than one minute) Count the number of remaining squares of TM-9000 silver glue.

  • The strength of the electroplated nickel layer:
Print TM-9000 silver paste with 200 mesh screen on the substrate into an electroplating pattern, and put it into the oven according to the recommended curing conditions. Electroplating Ni layer on TM-9000 silver offset printing pattern with 0.7–1.0A current, 55-60 ℃ and 2 min .; after Soldering on the Ni layer, test the Ni layer with Pull-Push Gauge intensity.
  • Pot Life (operation time):
To test the stability of the viscosity of the silver glue over time, place the silver glue in an oven at 40 ° C and test the viscosity of the silver glue every day.
